Classic Cheesy Toona Melt

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of fresh bread of your choice

  • 1 can Sophie's Kitchen Sea Salt Toona

  • 2 slices of plant-based cheese of your choice (should be a meltable kind!)

  • Plant-based butter of your choice (optional)

  • 1 green onion, chopped

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400°.

  • Thoroughly drain 1 can  of Toona

  • In a large bowl mix the Toona, mayo, chopped onion and lemon juice.

  • Butter one side of each bread slice. Top an unbuttered side with a few scoops of the Toona salad.

  • Top that with a few thin slices of tomato, 2 slices of cheese and close with another slice of bread.

  • Carefully place in the oven on a baking sheet.

  • Bake for 5-8 mins or until cheese is melted.
